Take a Breather

In the midst of
endeavouring to complete that 12,000 word document,
attempting to pack 40+ kg of luggage into 2 suitcases,
planning for the awesome times ahead with Jie in Singapore,
and trying to make sense of it all…
I’m losing my appetite, my sleep, my focus.
My thoughts are everywhere…
Family, Jie, Birthday, Singapore, Church, Dissertation…
*Take A Breather*
that was the first [...]

Homeward Bound

The semester’s been over for half a week now, and it ended with a HUGE bang!
Jie received her much deserved honours and best academic award, and for whatever reason I am still extremely thrilled for her.
I’m sitting on a reclining chair in a 600 Euro per week apartment. The place is awesome but not so [...]

Ending with a Bang

A number of posts back I was writing about the “Next Semester“… and now the semester’s coming to an end.
I’ve reached the final week of BA with 1 more report to go and a dissertation to complete in the next one and a half months. I’m excited that the semester’s coming to an end, but [...]

Mikazuki

Listening to Ayaka’s single, Mikazuki, repeatedly as I tell myself this is going to be my last ‘emo’ post for the year.
I can’t remain in this sorry state knowing the great things You have prepared for me.
Tonight its not going to be about how much she doesn’t care, but how much You do.
I’m giving up on [...]

The Next Semester

The next semester starts tomorrow, cant wait!

Its 164 days and counting to ‘Makanfest’ – my unofficial makan trip, eating whatever I find, wherever I am.
In the meantime I’ve been enjoying my new, larger room complete with (hopeless) Wi-fi and telephone all by myself for the past 5 days. I love the solitude. The roommate isn’t [...]

Cheaper Canai!

This must be among greatest news the nation has heard in 2008.
I guess you’ll know where to look for me when I’m back in 7 months time… if the price remains.

Sense of Home

Sure I complain, I complain about the guy downstairs who smokes by his window and stinks up our house. I complain about the education system which puts as much pressure on parents as it does children. I complain about the 20 taxi drivers that pass me on a rainy day, even though I’m waving my [...]

Anyone Can Be Prime Minister!

Sure or not? Don’t anyhow say only.
Not say I say what, but if some person from a minority group does indeed become PM, I scared got certain people not happy only.
But then, if you think carefully, there is a certain element of truth in the statement ’Anyone can be Prime Minister’ judging by the quality of our [...]

The nation’s No. 1 Sitcom – Politics

Political unrest, turmoil, instability. Whatever you may call it, almost every country goes through it at some point in time (maybe except Switzerland where people vote by raising hands, or so I’ve heard). Even so, I believe that my beloved country has the most ‘colorful’ political struggle in the history of political struggles.
Not up to [...]
